Larynx tongue placement opera singer

I have a patient tomorrow for consultation. He is an opera singer with a low posture tongue position by trade and the Orthodontist said he has a tongue thrust of the upper four anterior teeth.

4 year post frenectomy still exhibits difficulties

A 4 year old client of mine had a frenectomy at the end of the school year. I didn’t see him over the summer but he was seen by someone else. He was not cooperative with the other therapist for oral motor exercises.

3 year multiple problems

because we have not been able to break her thumb sucking habit, we have been wrapping her thumb with elastic sports bandage which keeps her from sucking as long as she has it on, but as soon as it comes off the thumb goes back in the mouth.

Deep Overbite Impinging

I have a young client (female, age 12) who has a very deep overbite. So deep that her lower teeth touch her alveolar ridge when she is at rest. She is unable to touch the tip to magic spot while mouth closed as her bottom teeth are there. She is unable to execute a correct swallow.

Ankyloglossia 4 year old

I have a 4-year old boy who had a frenectomy last week. Now that he has had the surgery it is apparent that he does not truly dissociate his tongue from his mandible on lateral tongue movements, and has difficulty with voluntary movements such as sticking out his tongue, using his tongue to clean around his lips, etc.

How to restart program?

I used the program for my son N (6 1/2) in the fall. While he made was successful for 10 nights, he went back to his old habits…

Habit returned after having a thumb device for 3 months

I thought my 10 year old son had been cured of his thumbsucking habit after having a thumb crib removed which he had worn for 3 months. It really seems like he is being punished for something he isn’t even aware of doing. He dreads having that thing replaced if he can’t stop and the pressure of having a deadline to quit has made him quite depressed.

Starting business in a small town

I am a R.D.H. interested in taking your course but I live in a fairly small city… Do you have advice or an opinion regarding my approach to being accepted in the community… I would need referrals from dentists, pediatricians, etc?

How best to “mark the spot” ….some suggestions

I’m wondering if anyone has ever mentioned using Polident® denture adhesive strips as “sticky spots”.
