Karen Masters, SLP, MA, QOM

Karen has several duties at NHS.  She is our event planner, scheduling our training classes, arranging travel, meeting room details, hotels and everything related to accommodations for our staff and for our future students. She also keeps our director from getting lost!

Karen also helps plan and execute our Annual Orofacial Myology Symposium and is NHS’s administrator for our graduates’ Facebook page where treatment solutions are shared among NHS grads from around the globe.

Karen has been in private practice for over 17 years. She has a team of highly trained speech pathologists and an occupational therapist all treating a variety of cases. Karen specializes in fluency disorders and orofacial myological disorders. Earlier in her career, Karen worked with the pediatric population in the public schools in Brookline, Massachusetts. When she moved to NJ, she continued her work with children in the Summit Public Schools. Karen graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology and received her Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Emerson College in Boston Ma.

Karen Masters is a certified and Qualified Orofacial Myologist and is licensed in the State of New Jersey as a speech language pathologist. Karen is also certified by the American Speech Hearing and Language Association.

She is a champion for animals and volunteers for dog rescue groups and fosters puppies as they wait to be adopted to “forever homes.”

In her spare time Karen loves to hike, go to the beach, read, learn and travel!
