Hi Sandra,
I had just one questions about Orofacial Myology exercises in phase 1. I have two students who are able to do horizontal and lateral differentiation but they stick the tip of their tongue up as their doing it and can’t seem to control it and straighten it. Is that something I work on, how would I work on that?
Thank you,
Hi,
I’m assuming you mean the tip of the tongue is curled up as they go side to side or in and out. That is absolutely OK because all we’re testing for lateral differentiation is the smooth back and forth without the mandibular (jaw) involvement, and with the horizontal we are looking at the forward and backward movement without jaw involvement.
