This 28-hour Premier Training Course, Orofacial Myology: From Basics to Habituation, is available for speech pathologists and dental professionals that are interested in learning about this specialty area and for those seeking Qualification in Orofacial Myology (QOM).  Our course is presented by real-time virtual instruction and provides an online learning environment that offers LIVE INTERACTION between the instructors and you.  By participating in group discussions, individual and partnered opportunities during evaluation and treatment training, and lively Q&A sessions, you will feel as though you are in a live classroom setting!

You will receive in-depth training in the renowned Myo Manual Treatment Program used worldwide by SLPs, DDS, RDHs/oral health therapists, MDs and others.

This course includes the Myo Manual and start up tools in addition to the handouts, paperwork and Power Point slide pages. The registration fee also includes free world-wide shipping for these class materials. Please note that at the time of registration you may choose to select the option to purchase a Myo Lip Meter. There will be no shipping charge for the Myo Lip Meter if this option is selected. This is not a requirement for the course.

  • Intraoral Assessment; Occlusal assessment, Tongue/Frena Assessments
  • Chew/Bolus Collection and Swallow; Speech Assessment/Screening
  • Post Evaluation Considerations: Summary, Goals, Treatment Plan
  • Group and Pair Learning Activity; Review, Q&A
  • Intro to Treatment Program Phases and Concepts, Qualification Process, Myo Manual: Phase One – Pre-Treatment Conditioning

Day 3 – TREATMENT
