I am curious how you bill for therapy. Do you charge per session or do you offer a complete package which includes everything. I would appreciate any info you could give me regarding fees that I should charge. Thanks<\/em><\/p>\n<p>It depends on several things.\u00a0 Not a simple answer&#8230;we spend some time in class helping each person figure it out based on their location, facility, types of patients, etc. I used to charge a flat fee, but that was in &#8220;the good old days&#8221; when I had a quick &#8220;cookbook&#8221; therapy program by Dan Garliner.\u00a0 Since every lesson was predictable at that time, I could charge a flat fee.\u00a0 I would tell them that if they had to cancel, they had X number of days to make up that lesson; otherwise, they forfeited that session&#8217;s portion of the total flat fee. You could also charge monthly.\u00a0 They pay at the beginning of each month and if the month happens to have an extra Monday or Wed or whatever day they usually come&#8230;then they get a &#8220;freebie&#8221; for paying monthly ahead of time. Then I began to charge per session (note, I said &#8220;session&#8221; since I don&#8217;t charge for &#8220;time&#8221; as I am a professional just like a doctor). If you are having them bill their insurance, then that is another discussion which I try to get into for my attendees (other than Canadians who don&#8217;t have the hassles we have).\u00a0 You would then bill according to various codes and sometimes would charge for more than one code during a session if you do certain therapeutic activities. I hope this helps.\u00a0 Without knowing your exact situation, it&#8217;s tough to recommend which is best&#8230;or if a different way altogether might be best.
