Q:

Can you tell me the difference between your orofacial myofunctional training course and others?

A:

Our Neo-Health training is highly sought after by dental, speech and medical professionals throughout the world.  I don’t want to disparage others who are doing some type of training, so I hope it suffices that I tell you who we are and you can then comfortably make your decision where to spend your time, money and effort as you move forward in this fascinating specialty area of orofacial myology.

We have been training professionals since the 1980’s and our course graduates are found on 6 world continents as is our Myo Manual and other materials and tools.  Besides having the premier treatment program, we have very high standards with regard to the ethics, and scopes of practices of every student we train.  We respect and honor the differences among RDH, DDS, SLP, and others within our family of graduates.  We are known for the kind ways that our graduates share, support and encourage one another.  After taking our class, you are immediately able to start treating your clients, patients or students.  We developed the QOM Qualification in Orofacial Myology credential to provide what our class participants have been requesting for many years.  There is no additional charge to complete the QOM process.   The QOM after your name signifies that you have taken our highly respected Neo-Health training course, you are familiar with the Myo Manual Treatment Program and able to utilize it, understand our other methods learned in class, can make important decisions when you come upon a challenge during treatment, adhere to high ethical standards, can provide a thorough evaluation, and can select and individualize the treatment regimen according to the client’s needs.  The requirements to enter the qualification (QOM) process begins with the Neo-Health Services 28 hour intensive course, Orofacial Myology: From Basics to Habituation.  You then are given a take home exam that is relevant to what you have learned.  Lastly you enter the clinical component and follow a patient from evaluation to completion.  At Neo-Health Services, we give state of the art information to our participants and are very careful to lead them only in directions of the specialty area where they can safely treat clients.  We respect each professions’ scopes of practice and ethical responsibilities.  When possible, we pair up a dental professional and speech pathologist during class to share their knowledge as they use hands on practice for the evaluation and the Myo Manual treatment program.  We hope you decide to join our family of Neo-Health graduates and will welcome you among us.
