Baby’s tongue sticking out of her mouth.
Today I saw a Mexican American baby 2 1/2 months old that frequently but not always has her tongue sticking out of her mouth. It reminds me of a Down’s baby, but she has no other Down Syndrome characteristics.

Digit habits affecting suctioning ability
The digit sucking…. She ceased this behavior, as of Fall – I’m thinking it was late October. I have seen her, however, now enjoy a lot of tongue gymnastics, twisting and curling her tongue between her front teeth – a form of tongue chewing, I would say

Tongue sucking child
Hello! I have a question, mostly about timing and involvement with a client and ortho needs…..but there is a secondary issue, as well. She has a high arched and narrow palate from digit sucking…..I’ll address this in a minute……so, what I see is good tip to spot, but she wants to “hang” the rest of
Two year sucking habit
Unfortunately, I have seen through the years that it is easier to eliminate the habit at an age much younger than two years old or to wait until the child is older. Sad,but true. RDH how to become an insurance provider
If the RDH is working with a DDS, there is a chance for dental insurance coverage. If working with an SLP, again there is a chance for coverage. The International Association of Orofacial Myology is currently trying to address that issue, having appointed a committee to get recognition of an orofacial myology code.

When Sockie falls off
After watching the CD, my son decided to quit. He wore the Sockie to bed, but it either fell off during the night or he removed it in his sleep. After a few nights, he said Sockie was gone. He must have thrown it away. The dentist told him that he is going to put a rake into his mouth in two weeks if he doesn’t stop sucking his thumb.
