Hi, I have a client who is 8 years old, with developmental delay and spastic displegia and was born prematurely. She has one sound error (w for r) and has a tongue thrust habit. Mother is considering a crib appliance to correct the tongue thrust, but wanted my opinion about when to do so with

My 3 1/2 year old daughter sucks her thumb..... A dentist separately mentioned possible frenectomy. Can you recommend someone near us to discuss these issues with?

If you were giving articulation therapy without first having maximized lingual skills and rest postures, it might not have been as effective as if the patient first received the basic skills sections of orofacial myology...
