I have a pt (adult) that has lower resting posture and she presses the tip against her lower alveolar ridge which is now causing bone loss. She doesn't thrust so I am strictly working on rest posture. Do you have any recommendation for what exercises I should be using?

I've just scheduled my first patient!! I am going to see him (9 yr old) next week the 23rd for the initial evaluation/assessment. He is quite developmentally delayed however Dr. William Hang, DDS, an orthodontist. recommended Myofunctional therapy for him.

The boy only sucks his tongue at night per mom. He had his adenoids out at 3 and sucked a pacifier until 2. He doesn't suck anything besides his tongue now and does not use a sippy cup. He does have an open bite though. Do you have any experience with this or could you give me any pointers?

Is there a minimum age to start therapy for orofacial myology disorders? The pictures and examples in the Myo Manual all show children who are about 7 years or older.

After watching the CD, my son decided to quit. He wore the Sockie to bed, but it either fell off during the night or he removed it in his sleep. After a few nights, he said Sockie was gone. He must have thrown it away. The dentist told him that he is going to put a rake into his mouth in two weeks if he doesn’t stop sucking his thumb.

Hello Sandra, I am writing to let you know how happy I am with the results of my UNPLUGGING the THUMB which I purchased from you about a month ago. If you remember, I am the mum from Australia. My five year old daughter, A, has successfully “unplugged her thumb” and I am amazed at the changes

You didn’t mention that there was another item associated with the sucking habit. Aha! That might be a way to approach it sooner. Do you recall the method we went over to eliminate a pacifier habit?
