I have one frenectomy precious little guy, had it done early Oct. Ever since, he began wagging his tongue all over the place, (dancing in celebration of its freedom) or more like for a lack of just not knowing where his tongue should rest.

The parents don't want to not listen to the orthodontist since he's doing the treatment, but they can see that the retainer isn't right either. The orthodontist feels it's better than nothing since it will somewhat help to keep her tongue back as well as keep her teeth from moving forward more.

Have you ever heard of a short frenulum being a stabilizing factor in relation to dysarthria? One pediatric SLP felt that if we did a frenectomy it could make her speech worse.

My 8 year old patient with Downs Syndrome exhibits an anterior, interdental resting tongue posture. We've been working on lip competence for lip seal at rest and tongue tip elevation for quite some time. S. exhibits mature upper cuspids , but mixed dentition on lower teeth, with mature cuspids erupting and baby teeth still in place.

Hi, I am 20 years old and have a tongue thrust. I have problems speaking at times, like a slight lisp, or it feels like my tongue is heavy and gets tied up. I was on your website and I would like to know if you have the tongue thrust therapy available to purchase on line?

He has great mobility except elevation outside the mouth. He cannot lick upper lip or lift up if the tongue is extended. He has perfect placement for l inside the mouth... Any suggestions?
